Hi, my name's Laura, living in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

• I am late diagnosed autistic and ADHD; diagnosed in 2022 at the age of 34. It's been a rocky, emotional journey but also extremely validating!
  
• Through trial and error I've developed many coping mechanisms; ADHD medication, exercise, consistent self-care, systems to keep myself and others organised, etc. I continue to focus on accepting myself and growth. Not easy I know!
• Throughout my life I've felt a strong purpose to support others. I now feel my purpose lies in supporting the neurodivergent community; offering my social work and lived experience. I recently set up a monthly neurodivergent meet-up in Skipton which is going well!
• I previously had a thriving pet sitting business so I know what it's like to run a business and the support that is needed with a neurodivergent brain.
• My special interests include; personal growth, mental health, autism, ADHD, documentaries, podcasts, arts and crafts, playing electric guitar, rock music/metal, and download festival.
• My cat Mimi is one of my biggest special interests and she's likely to make an appearance on most video calls!

• Worked in various teams as a Social worker (registered with Social Work England), nearly 3 years post qualified; Advocacy charity, CMHT, covid recovery team, representing social care at forums and LD and autism team.
  
• Previously a volunteer crisis counsellor for Shout.
  
• Currently undertaking risk assessing work for 'The Adult Autism Practice', transcribing/proofreading for the Squarepeg Podcast and proof reading for the Brain Tumour Charity.

• In my current risk assessing contract for 'the adult autism practice' i am compiling risk assessments and sending to the appropriate psychologist based on the criteria given.

Hourly rate:

£25 per hour

I am happy to undertake retainers also, these will still be charged at £25 per hour and you will have the guarantee every month that i can undertake the work for you .

I have business insurance with PolicyBee, ICO membership, Social Work England registration, DBS yearly subscription, a contract ready to sign and data sharing agreement.
